Luis Suarez has reportedly said that he has spoken to specialists about his behavior and has promised his fans that there will be no biting incidents in the future.
The Barcelona striker, who is currently facing a four-month ban for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, said that he was really depressed after the incident and had spoken to his psychologist. He added that he now wants to apologize and focus on the present, reported the BBC.
The World Cup incident was the third biting offence by Suarez.
The 27-year-old Uruguay striker launched an appeal against the ban with the Court of Arbitration for Sport. The court although lifted the ban that disallowed him from participating in all football-related activities but maintained that the player is prohibited from playing in competitive fixtures until late October and must also miss the remaining eight international matches of his nine-match international ban.
Suarez recently made his Barcelona debut and appeared as a 75th minute substitute in the team that secured a 6-0 victory over Mexican side Club Leon on Monday.
