England cricketer Ian Bell is happy to have Alex Hales on board, and he is willing to give up his one day international opener slot for him.
According to The Mirror, Hales has made a deafening case for inclusion at the top of the order and will give England the firepower they need to challenge for the trophy next March.
But with the other opener being skipper Alastair Cook, Bell knows he is the man who will have to make way for the change. Bell has batted in every position bar eight and 10 in England's one-day team.
And fresh from winning the T20 Blast with the Birmingham Bears, Bell will slip down to No.3 against India despite enjoying a stellar two years alongside Cook in which he averaged 44.
Bell said that he has spoken to the coach and the captain about the ODI situation, and he thinks that it is a really smart move to bring Hales in at the top, as he is in a great form at the moment and he can be very destructive against the best bowlers in the world, as he has proved in international T20 cricket.
