Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc is hoping that Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic doesn't take off his shirt if he scores a goal in another game, so that his tattoos don't earn him another yellow card.
Ibrahimovic, who is working with the United Nations' World Food Program, had temporary tattoos with the names of 15 people suffering from hunger inked all over his body and he peeled off his shirt in an effort to draw attention to world famine after scoring against Caen on Saturday.
However, Ibrahimovic's exploits, unknown to Blanc at the time, also earned him a yellow card, News.com.au reported.
Blanc said that he was aware of the striker's commitment to the foundation, but added that he personally didn't know that Ibrahimovic had had several names tattooed on him.
Blanc said that if it was to show his tattoos then it worked because it made the front page of every website in the world, so he added that in that sense it was very successful for Ibrahimovic and for the foundation. But he claimed that it cost PSG a yellow card.
With a match coming up against Chelsea in the last 16 of the Champions League on Wednesday, Blanc has warned Ibrahimovic not to do it again.
In the match against Caen, PSG played the last 10 minutes with nine players because of numerous injuries and conceded two late goals in a 2-2 draw.
Blanc said that imagine if the game had become more heated and that Ibrahimovic got a second yellow card, the game would have been over for them.
Blanc said that he doesn't know if Ibrahimovic taking his shirt off was a good thing, adding that he hopes the Swede won't take his shirt off if he scores against Chelsea because he would get another yellow card.
Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic, PSG's top scorer for the past two seasons, was happy with his actions, and said that if he could, he would write every single name on his body, but added that there are 805 million people suffering from hunger in the world.
