Ice Cube will be teaming up with New Line and MGM to make a comedy pitch, that Kenya Barris and 'The Golbergs' executive producer Alex Barnow created and are currently writing together.
Ice Cube, who will be one of the main characters, will provide a unique voice and is also said to be producing this pitch, alongside Jeff Kwatinetz and Principato Young, the Deadline reported.
The story follows a hapless white guy, perennially disrespected by everyone from his girlfriend to his coworkers, wakes up after an accident and the voice inside his head is Ice Cube - the Straight Outta Compton Cube, who's pretty pissed about what this guy has let happen to him. Driven by that voice, he begins to develop confidence to take back his life.
The pitch made the rounds under the title 'White Boy Problems,' but that's likely to change. The film will be co-financed by New Line and MGM, and the former will distribute.
