Idea has been the first and only service provider to offer 4G services in 300 of Maharashtra and Goa.
The 4G LTE service will now be available in the major towns of Amravati, Aurangabad, Gondia, Kohlapur, Alibagh, Wardha, Vasco and Panjim in addition to Nagpur and Ahmednagar where services were launched earlier this year.
"Idea is the oldest and largest mobile operator in Maharashtra and Goa. We have always been committed to grow our network in the region and offer the best mobile experience to the people in deep interiors of the circle," said Chief Operating Officer Maharashtra and Goa Idea Cellular, Rajendra Chourasia.
"We now have the largest 2G, 3G and 4G network with over 24500 sites providing seamless mobile broadband experience across the length and breadth of Maharashtra and Goa," added Chourasia.
The Aditya Birla Group is the leading telecom operator in the market as it has focused on investing in spectrum, expanding the network and enhancing customer service in Maharashtra and Goa.
