A powerful improvised explosive device (IED) bomb was found on a bus in the Jalukbari area of Guwahati on Friday.
According to police officials, the bus was plying between Tezpur and Guwahati when the bomb was discovered. The Assam police and CRPF personnel working in tandem recovered the explosive after a search operation carried out by both parties. The IED was later defused by bomb experts.
