Improving Pakistan's faltering hitters would be a challenge, says new batting coach Grant Flower, who assumed his role on Friday.
Flower joined the Pakistan team as their batting coach on a two-year contract after a successful coaching stint with his native Zimbabwe, which ended in 2012.
According to The Dawn, Flower's task is to improve Pakistan's performance at the crease as it has flopped recently, most notably last year's 3-0 Test whitewash against South Africa when they were bowled out for just 49.
Flower said that they all know how talented the players are and he rates them high. But, he added maybe sometime they do not get most of their talent out.
The younger brother of accomplished Zimbabwean batsman Andy, who coached England until last year, said that he would not have taken the job if he didn't think he could make a difference.
Flower said that the challenge of being in a different place brought him to Pakistan.
Flower's sting with Pakistan would start in earnest on next month's tour of Sri Lanka when he teams up with new head coach Waqar Younis.
Flower has played 67 Tests and 221 ODIs for Zimbabwe, the report added.
