India A has defeated New Zealand A in the second unofficial ODI match in Visakhapatnam by six wickets, with the hosts reaching their paltry target of 217 with more than 11 overs to spare.
New Zealand A's innings of 216 all out was built around Carl Cachopa's 80 while Luke Ronchi and captain Andrew Ellis both contributed 34, while Indian A all-rounder Ashok Menaria took his first five wicket haul and then scored an unbeaten 37 as his side cruised to victory.
According to Stuff.co.nz, Menaria's slow left arm bowling accounted for the wickets of Colin Munro (4), Daryl Mitchell (10) Cachopa, Ellis and Scott Kuggeleijn (3).
Although India A lost two early wickets to be 44-2, but 59s from Unmukt Chand and Mandeep Singh and their 89-run third wicket partnership set up the hosts to win in the second ODI.
