India has jumped ahead by 12 spots to 130 in the World Bank's 2016 rankings in terms of 'ease of doing business'.

Last year's report had ranked India at 140, but this year's report features the recalculated 2015 rankings in which India comes at 130.

The report also said that India made the biggest improvement among the South-Asian countries in business regulations.

The World Bank said that India, which has a global ranking of 130, implemented two reforms during the past year.

'Starting a business and getting electricity' pushed India up the ladder, the report said.
