India to get largest booths among South Asian countries in SSACEIF 2019

Kunming [China], Jun 10 (ANI): As the Kunming city of Yunan province in China gears up for the South and South Asia Commodity Expo and Investment Fair (SSACEIF) 2019, local authorities have expressed satisfaction over India's participation, and have allocated as many as 240 booths for the fair, which is largest among the South Asian countries.

Deputy Director General of the Yunan Province MA Jun told ANI, "India is a very close partner and everybody loves Indian pavilion. This year 240 booths are for India and in terms of S Asian booth India ranks number one."

Jun also said that the people in Yunan adore Indian food and culture. "We love Indian food, movies, and culture. Every year Indian pavilion is a must go for locals and also for participants."

Talking about the future prospects of India and China's relation, the Director General conveyed that every year, India is increasing its booths, which is a testament to the fact that China and India are enjoying a very sound development in every field.

Highlighting the focus areas of this year's fair, Jun said, "Three main features of this year's edition - First is green energy, which focuses on rich resources in the Yunan province. We have focused on hydropower resource, Solar power resource, and wind power resource."

Lastly, he added that Investment promotion in Kunming and Digital economy will also be the prime focus for the host country.

The SSACEIF 2019 will be held from June 12 to 18 at the Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center in Kunming. Fair will feature 17 pavilions covering an area of approximately 170,000 square meters and 7500 standard booths will be installed.

Among the enterprises nearly half are foreign enterprises including 20 top 500 enterprises in the world, 18 of the 500 top enterprises in China will participate in the event.
