The Indian cricket team has left for a tour of New Zealand.

Led by M.S. Dhoni, the team is scheduled to play five one day international matches from January 19 and two Test matches.

The ODI squad left from Mumbai on Sunday.

Test players Cheteshwar Pujara, Murali Vijay, Zaheer Khan and Umesh Yadav will leave later.

The first ODI will take place at the McLean Park at Napier.

This is India's ninth visit to New Zealand for a bilateral contest, and their first since 2008-09 that they won 1-0.
