Under the aegis of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Indian Women Network has been launched in the Western Region.
The idea behind IWN is to create a network of women across the spectrum including working women, entrepreneurs, students and second career women and help them achieve their fullest potential.
For this, they have a 360 degree approach where they have programs to enable, engage and empower women through various tangible initiatives, use strategic partners to scale programs to reach out to many more and work with companies to identify best practices and create a better work place
Central to IWN is also the idea of women being facilitators of change in creating an environment conducive for broad participation and advancement of women in the communities that they operate in.
Key Objectives are to : Engage, Enable, Empower, develop strong partnerships and nurture next generation of women leaders.
IWN Pune has unveiled an ambitious program '100 Hours of Change' - as an attempt to create the biggest pool of women mentors who can help students and other women rise to their full potential in their careers. 100HOC is an ambitious project where the Network will link up women who have had the access to education and financial independence with those who are just venturing out and want to contribute. The idea is to help create real role models who can bring about positive change where it is required most.
In continuation to this, the initiative has been launched by Indian Women Network's Pune Chapter on Friday.
A session on "Campus to Corporate" was addressed by Ms Shabnam Asthana - Director Empowered Solutions who is also a senior trainer in Communication Skills, and an International coach in grooming and etiquettes . Dr Indira Parikh, Co Chair IWN Pune Chapter, President FLAME School of Business was present at the occasion to launch this ambitious initiative.
The audience comprised final year students of various batch's representing MIT group of Institutes, faculty and select senior professionals from the corporate world.
