The transportation ministry of Indonesia has authorized strict measures against everyone who permitted the AirAsia Flight QZ8501 to take off without a proper permit, highlighting the depth of Indonesia's air safety problems.

According to News.com.au, Djoko Murjatmodjo, acting director general of air transportation said that all licenses and schedules of all airlines in Indonesia will be examined to check if they were violating any rules.

As the Indonesian officials launch the crackdown, search operations for remaining AirAsia flight victims' bodies and debris still continues in the Java Sea.

Officials said that the flight's permit to fly through the popular route was only for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and that the flight QZ8501 quietly switched those days.

However, officials in Singapore said that the plane was authorized to fly on Sundays from its ends.
