India's largest telecom tower company Indus Towers is consistently working in line with its philosophy of 'Putting India First' while bringing best in class technology innovation in the country.

With sustainability and environment at the core of all initiatives, coupled with the management's approach of Design Thinking, the company is contributing to Digital India and Smart Cities dream by building new-age infrastructure.

With this focus of putting up a robust NextGen Digital services network, Indus Towers today announced their nationwide initiative of Aesthetic Sites.

Catering to the need of building smart cities with beautiful city landscapes, the Aesthetic Sites are a unification of world class technology and innovation, location aesthetics and environmental considerations.

"With our focus on innovation that enables transformation and belief in Design Thinking approach, where we develop a solution basis customer needs, Aesthetic Sites roll out is a great testimony in this direction," said CEO Indus Towers, Bimal Dayal.

"While deploying world class technologies in telecom infrastructure domain, Indus Towers will continue to build digital highways and play a pivotal role in the government's focus areas such as Smart Cities and Digital India," added Bimal Dayal.

In line with design thinking approach and focus on innovation, seamless connectivity and sustainability, Indus Towers introduced many initiatives. To cite a few, the company converted over 55,000 sites into green sites; to make diesel free sites, the company installed Free Cooling Units (FCU), Natural Cooling Units + Turbo, Micro Cooling Unit, Solar power FCU and Solar PV leading to energy savings.

Optimization of energy consumption has not only brought down the cost of operations but has also created a positive impact on environment.

This goal of continuously transforming through technology innovation also reflects in how Indus Towers drives a connected workforce for operations and maintenance by equipping them with tablets and smartphones with GEO mapping (IMAPP).
