Congress leader Manish Tewari on Tuesday alleged that the NDA Government at the Centre was clearly responsible for the persistent anti-Pakistan demonstrations in Mumbai, as also for yesterday's ink assault on Jammu and Kashmir independent MLA Engineer Rashid.

"This has all being done at the instance of the central government. The central government is fully complicit in all of these incidents. Why is it that all of this is never happened when the UPA was in office?" Tewari told ANI.

"Whether it is with Ghulam Ali or Sudheendra Kulkarni, or for that matter, the storming of the BBCI office yesterday, and then, throwing ink on Engineer Rashid's face. All this is happening because the central government is complicit in this. They are the ones who are getting it done," he added.

The Shiv Sena is being criticised for derailing the BCCI-PCB talks in Mumbai on Monday.

Following the protest, the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday announced the withdrawal of Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar from the remaining two matches of the ongoing India-South Africa one-day series. Pakistani commentators Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar also announced their withdrawal from commentating duties on grounds of security.
