Iran's hard-line semi-official Fars News, in its latest attack on the US has reportedly claimed that the country is secretly run by a 'shadow government' of space aliens since 1945.
The news outlet has claimed that the alien government is based out of Nevada and had previously run Nazi Germany.
According to the Washington Post, Iranian semi-official news outlets have had a reputation for taking conspiracy theorism to next level with news reports claiming Israel's secret plans to annex Iraq, the conspiracy by Western media to misquote Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and the secret Jewishness of the British royal family.
Fars News has reported that the controversial NSA programmes were a tool for the aliens to hide their presence on Earth and their secret agenda for global domination and President Obama is but a tool of aliens.
The news piece explained that Germany had built hundreds of submarines toward the end of the war, far more than would have been possible with mere human technology and it proved that aliens were secretly behind the Nazis.
The sources "confirming" Fars News' scoop is none other than whistleblower Edward Snowden, who had waited until now to reveal the real reason behind the snooping programmes were aliens, as claimed by the agency.
Fars has claimed that Snowden gave this information to Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) and was independently confirmed by former Canadian defense minister Paul Hellyer, 90, who has indeed argued earlier that aliens have visited Earth many times.
However, none of the 'sources' have yet commented on the conspiracy theory claims made by the news outlet.
