Irate residents torched 22 trucks on Saturday after a speeding truck hit a motorcycle and killed two persons in Bihar's Lakhisarai District.
As soon as the news of the accident spread, angry residents torched 22 trucks one after the other.
The victims were identified as Vijay Shah and his wife. They were returning from a market, said Subodh Kumar Viswas, a sub-divisional police officer (SDPO).
Road accidents are common in India, where roads are often of poor quality. Transport officials attribute a large number of accidents in India to reckless driving and untrained drivers.
