Islamic State militants have killed at least 40 people and wounded dozens in a bombing in al-Qubbah, an eastern town of Libya.
According to BBC, a petrol station, a police station and the home of parliamentary speaker Agila Salah were targeted with three bombings.
IS militants released a statement online saying that the bombings were in retaliation to Egyptian airstrikes.
The bombing was the deadliest in Libya since the toppling of Col Muammar Gaddafi four years ago.
The country is in a state of chaos with two governments vying for territory and legitimacy.
