A new video released by the Islamic State (IS) shows a hostage identifying himself as British journalist John Cantlie and saying that he will explain the philosophy of the Islamic State (IS) in a series of such videos.
The video shows Cantlie accusing the United States and the United Kingdom of doing things "differently" in comparison to other European governments who have negotiated the release of their hostages, reported the BBC.
The British hostage also says that he will reveal the truth about IS in the later videos.
The message of the video is that the militant group has been misrepresented by the western media.
The report said that the hostage seems to be speaking to the camera under duress.
Cantlie escaped a kidnapping in Syria earlier in 2012.
Meanwhile, the British government is assessing the video to find if it is genuine or not.
