Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a rousing welcome from the crowd, most of them Indian, as he reached Hotel Fullerton on arriving in Singapore.

This is his second official visit as the Prime Minister to the island nation and is packed with a series of meetings, mainly with the business community.

This evening, he is scheduled to visit India-Singapore Enterprise and Innovation Exhibitions at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre. Most of these exhibitions will deal with the social impact, as to how they can make a difference to health, education, water, and agriculture.

Following that, the Prime Minister will attend a business and community event, where nearly 5,000 people are expected to turn up.

Later, Prime Minister Modi will have a round-table conference with CEOs over dinner. Thirty top business leaders of Singapore will participate in the conference.

On Friday, he is scheduled to visit the Arjuna's Chariot and the Istiqal Mosque. He will then go to the Indian Heritage Centre, where he is expected to launch a platform to bring Indian artisans and craftsmen to showcase their work to support rural livelihood.

At the end of his stay in Singapore, he will visit Changi Naval Base, where he will interact with naval officials and sailors.

Before Singapore, Prime Minister visited Indonesia and Malaysia in a bid to enhance India's relations and engagements with the three countries, who are members of the ASEAN.
