Fathers embarrass their kids by telling an average of two terrible jokes a week, a new study has revealed.
The survey to mark the launch of American Dad volume eight, has revealed that youngsters avoid going out in public with their dads on an average of four times a month because they are too embarrassed, the Daily Star reported.
A spokesman for the cartoon Dad-dancing said that telling children off in front of friends and grilling their son or daughter's potential love interest also made the top 10 of embarrassing antics that children like to avoid.
The spokesperson added that British dads are not far removed from the stereotypical image.
