J.C. Chandor may helm 'Deepwater Horizon'

J.C. Chandor is in talks to direct the big-scale drama named 'Deepwater Horizon', which is based based on New York Times article titled 'Deepwater Horizon's Final Hour'.

According to Deadline.com, the 40-year-old 'All is Lost' director, was approached by Lionsgate, Summit Entertainment and Participant Media to helm the project which will tell the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil rig disaster tale.

The project, whose latest draft was penned by Matthew Michael Carnahan, will be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian.
