Four civilians have been injured in ceasefire violation by Pakistan in the Balakote sector of Poonch. Pakistan initiated indiscriminate firing in Balakote sector of Poonch, and Manjakot sector of Rajouri, early Wednesday morning.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police confirmed the news of the attack on Twitter. The tweet said, "Today morning Pakistan violated ceasefire by resorting firing at Dabbi, Nijot and Basoni posts in Balakote Sector Mendhar. Army retaliating."
This unprovoked firing has been continuously witnessed from the Pakistani side across the border, in which many Indian security personnel and civilians have lost their lives.
The ceasefire violations, which amounted to 228 in 2016, have reached 503 this year (till October 5).
