Muslim cleric Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali on Monday said that the PDP-BJP Government in Jammu and Kshmir headed by Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed should review its decision of releasing hardline separatist leader Masrat Alam.

"JandK Government must review its decision," Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali told ANI.

"Anyone who has done wrong needs to go through a trial, this is against India's interest" he added.

Alam had been convicted for organizing anti-India protests resulting in the death of 112 people in stone pelting across the Valley in 2010.

Masarat's release has drawn a lot of criticism from several political parties.
