J.K. Rowling got emotional when she saw the finale of the BBC adaptation of her novel 'The Casual Vacancy' on BBC One.
The British novelist tweeted her emotional reaction after the last episode of her black comedy novel adaptation, which had three-part series wrapped up, but didn't elaborate on whether she choked up because she was happy to see the show come to life onscreen, or the actual material made her a little misty-eyed, E! Online reported.
The BBC writers altered the original ending of the 2014 'Goodreads Choice Awards Best Fiction' winner novel story revolves around the citizens of Pagford, a small English village, after the sudden death of a city council member, to make the entire film less bleak and grim.
HBO will also be showcasing the J.K. Rowling adaptation on April 29.
