India's leading online fashion retailer Jabong has hired Deepa Chaddha as its Chief Human Resource Officer in order to strengthen its leadership as it transforms itself from a start-up to a professionally run profitable organisation.
The online fashion retailer earlier registered the highest-ever month-on-month growth of nearly 35 percent in its net revenue for January 2016.
Deepa Chaddha brings with her 20 years of leadership experience having worked across dimensions of people functions in Telecom, Software, KPO and Pharma industries. She has donned many hats in her career. Prior to joining Jabong, Deepa was the Head of HR, Global Center of Excellence functions, Bharti Airtel.
Deepa has also handled critical business roles with Oracle for nearly six years along with managing presales and Business Development functions. She was instrumental in launching and establishing the Oracle Human Capital Management brand in India.
Commenting on the appointment, Sanjeev Mohanty, CEO, Jabong said, "As we embark on this incredible journey of transformation, I truly believe that the first and foremost task for us is to build a strong team and work culture. A strong human resource leader is pivotal in building a culture of passion, performance and people orientation with complete clarity of role and purpose. With the diverse experience that Deepa brings, her addition to the leadership fold will greatly strengthen Jabong's human capital."
Following Mohanty's appointment as CEO last December, the online fashion leader recently appointed Ranjan Kant as its Chief Marketplace Officer and Kalyan Kumar as the Head of Merchandise in an effort to strengthen leadership.
