All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) chief Jayalalithaa on Tuesday dismissed rumours of her party being a secret ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
While addressing a gathering, Jayalalithaa attacked ruling Congress party and regional Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).
"The opposition parties have been criticising the AIADMK, calling it a 'B' team of the BJP. As far as we are concerned, we are not the 'B' team of any party and our party is the primary party. This has been said earlier also," said Jayalalithaa.
Jayalalithaa also hit out at BJP for not mentioning issues related to Tamil community in its election manifesto.
"In its election manifesto, the BJP has not mentioned anything about Cauvery river water issue, Mullaperiyar dam issue, Sri Lankan Tamil issue, Tamil fishermen issue and Katchatheevu island issue. I understand that BJP is not concerned with any of these problems of Tamil people," she added.
