Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha will deliver a keynote addresson financing development in India and beyond on Thursday.

Sinha will be delivering his keynote address at a roundtable discussion held at the Oberoi Hotel here. THis discussion has been organised by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF).

The roundtable is afollow-up to the Financing for Development conference held in Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa earlier this year, where negotiations on the post-2015 development agenda were held.

That meeting sought to assess progress made in the implementation of the Monterrey Consensus and the Doha Declaration; to

address new and emerging issues in international development cooperation, particularly the relationship between various development financing tools; and to consider a framework for financing sustainable development that aligns all financing flows and policies with economic, social and environmental priorities.

The ORF roundtable discussion is aimed at bringing together experts to give their opinions on the outcomes of the Addis conference and the future of the global financial architecture for development.

After Sinha's keynote address, the roundtable will have two sessions. Session I will focus on key outcomes of the Third International Conference on Financing for Development at Addis Ababa. Session II will focus global financial architecture for development - India and Beyond.
