The Janata Dal (United) released its manifesto on Saturday which promises extending reservation in private sector jobs, law for safeguard of migrant labourers and 'special category' status for Bihar and other least developed states.

The party also pledged to replicate Bihar's successful experiment of providing 50 per cent reservation to women in panchayat and urban local bodies and "an affirmative action" for giving reservation to the economically and educationally weaker sections among forward castes.

The manifesto was released by party national president Sharad Yadav and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

JD (U) also pledged zero tolerance against corruption, communal hatred, tension and communal forces.

"Corruption and communalism are two big challenges before the country. We are committed to fight against both. Modi is trying to exploit people's emotions in his election meetings," said Yadav while addressing a press conference in Patna.
