Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Thursday said that the people responsible for the massive explosion in Jhabua, in which 89 people have lost their lives and over 150 injured, will not be spared.
"The people responsible for the blast in Jhabua will not be spared. I have ordered for the magisterial inquiry over the entire incident, which will be monitored by the High Court judge. Will leave no stone unturned in punishing the accused," Chauhan told media here.
Condemning the unfortunate incident, Chauhan further said: "I am not in a hurry to go back as yesterday was the saddest day of my life. I will discuss this incident with every people. I will visit every family who were affected by this blast."
"I can't be away from the family of the deceased in this situation. Rs 2 lakh is not the limit; even if Rs 10 lakh is required for the family of the injured people, we will give," he added.
"Generally the government thinks that their job is over after giving the cheque, but we will also make sure about their (victims) employment and living conditions. I have come here for this purpose only," he continued.
A massive blast triggered by mining explosives ripped through a packed restaurant in Madhya Pradesh's Jhabua district yesterday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had expressed pain over the loss of lives in the explosion.
