American competitive eater Joey "Jaws" Chestnut gobbled his way to breaking his own record by scarfing down 69 hotdogs at the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, making it his seventh consecutive victory.
The 29-year-old somehow found the appetite to squeeze one more hot dog and bun into his mouth with just seconds left in the 10-minute timeframe to break his own record of 68, the New York Post reported.
His nearest competitor, Matt Stonie, finished a distant second, chomping down 51 hot dogs at the annual Fourth of July spectacle on Surf and Stillwell avenues.
He took home a 10,000-dollar cash prize.
