Johnny Depp to play crime boss James 'Whitey' Bulger in new biopic
Johnny Depp is back on board to play notorious crime boss James "Whitey" Bulger in an upcoming biopic.
According to Deadline.com, the 50-year-old actor is officially playing the Boston, Massachusetts gangster, who spent two decades evading capture after he was placed on the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Most Wanted List.
Scott Cooper will be directing the film, while Tom Hardy is reportedly in talks to star as former FBI agent John Connolly.
