Johnny Knoxville will be starring alongside Jackie Chan in the upcoming film 'Skiptrace.'
The project which is being helmed by Renny Harlin and has begun shooting in China, will tell the tale of a Hong Kong detective, played by Chan, 60 who aims to save his niece and capture city's most notorious criminal by teaming up with a American gambler, played by Johnny Knoxville, Deadline.com reported.
Earlier it was Seann William Scott who was to play the gambler, but after he exited, Knoxville, 43, was signed to fill the role.
The film, which also stars Fan Bingbin, is being produced by Chan along with Brian Gatewood, Esmond Ren, Damien Saccani and Charlie Coker Jay Longino, while Dasym Entertainment and Beijing-based Talent International Film co-finance and co-produce it.
