Jordanian pilot burned to death was allegedly drugged to keep him from screaming as he died

Jordanian pilot Muath al-Kasaesbeh who was burned to death by Islamic State militants in Syria was apparently sedated to keep him from screaming as he died, experts have claimed.

According to Daily Star, Burnews.com has claimed Kasaesbeh was sedated, meaning he felt little pain as the flames engulfed his body.

The site quoted experts as saying that Kasaesbeh seemed unconscious and unaware of what the militant group had planned for him.

Jordan says that Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is scared and on the run after the Jordanian airforce killed 7000 jihadists in three days of airstrikes in northeastern Syria.

Jordan conducted around 56 air raids in response to burning to death of captured Jordanian pilot Muath al-Kaseasbeh.

According to News.com.au, Maj. Gen. Mansour al-Jabour said that Baghdadi was frightened by what Jordan did in the last three days.

He said that IS leadership was always hiding and they are always on the move but Jordan has the assets always in the air for an opportunity to target al-Baghdadi and his gang.

Jordan had earlier bombed various sites in Syria but Judeh said that the country will also target the group in Iraq now.

Jordan is one of four Arab states to have taken part in the anti-IS air strikes in Syria.
