Hollywood heavy-weight Josh Brolin, who will be next seen in 'Deadpool 2', has revealed that he would not be in the sequel of 2016 hit movie if it wasn't for his wife.

The 49-year-old actor has revealed that he was not going to commit to 'Deadpool 2' because of his role in 'George and Tammy' until his spouse, Kathryn Boyd, encouraged him to read the script, reports Contactmusic.

While giving an interview to a website, Brolin said, "We were supposed to do 'George and Tammy' but that fell through and right after it fell through 'Deadpool' came in and they asked me if I was interested in doing it. And I was like I wanted to do 'George and Tammy'. My wife - thank God - said just read it. I was lying on my side reading it on my phone and it was so relevant and funny and hysterical."

Adding, "I had no idea about the fan based. But we have made something really special."

The sequel, which has just wrapped up, is the follow-up to the 2016 Marvel feature 'Deadpool'.

Helmed by David Leitch, the movie stars Ryan Reynolds starring in the title role alongside Morena Baccarin, T. J. Miller, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapicic, Zazie Beetz, Josh Brolin, and Jack Kesy.

The flick has a June 1, 2018, release date.
