Josh Brolin and Jake Gyllenhaal in talks to star in 'Everest'

Hollywood actors Josh Brolin, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke and John Hawkes are in discussions to star in 'Everest', which is based on a true story about the 1996 disastrous expedition to scale the world's tallest mountain.

According to the Hollywood reporter, Universal and Emmett/Furla are in talks to co-finance the film and distribute in North America.

'2 Guns' director, Baltasar Kormakur, is at the helm of the flick that tells the story of two expedition groups, whose treks turn tragic when a sudden blinding storm hits, leaving eight people dead.

Working Title will produce the movie and is looking at an October shoot in Iceland.
