A new book has claimed that American singer Judy Garland once stripped to her underwear from her hotel balcony to a group of hooting dockers.
Stevie Phillips, an ex-assistant to the troubled star, asserted that she was paid extra to travel to the Bahamas with Garland in 1963, but the visit turned into "hell" because of the actress's demands, the Mirror has reported.
Phillips stated in the book that the 47-year-old actress was crying and, at the same time, singing 'Over The Rainbow' to a large group of big, beautiful, black, semi-naked longshoremen below and their number was growing, and they were hooting, hollering, and generally getting crazy.
According to the book, Phillips and a hairdresser had to drag the wasted actress along the street in the capital Nassau.
Garland had been married five times, seen a psychiatrist from the age of 18 and had three children, including daughter Liza Minnelli.
