Demanding the arrest of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA Kunti Devi's son for allegedly thrashing a doctor at a government hospital in Gaya last night, former home secretary and BJP MP R K Singh on Thursday said 'jungle raj' is back in Bihar ever since the grand alliance has formed the government in the state.

Singh reiterated that the law and order situation has deteriorated in the state.

"Ever since the grand alliance has formed the government, such incidents take place on a continuous basis. Two engineers were killed, two police officers were killed, there was firing on a doctor's clinic which was captured on the CCTV, one goldsmith was killed. 'Jungle raj' is back, there is no doubt about that," Singh said.

"If the Chief Minister does not initiate apt action then all the traders would leave this place (Bihar)," he added while demanding that a case must be registered against the RJD MLA's son at the earliest.

The RJD MLA's son Ranjit Yadav allegedly barged into the hospital along with six persons and beat up the doctor.

"Ranjit, the son of MLA Kunti Devi, came along with six goons and demanded the register of the hospital in-charge. When I denied, he started abusing me and beating me," said Dr. Satyendra Kumar Singh.

"He threw a wheelchair on me and punched me," he added.

The doctor said that the legislator's son came with an intention to kill him.

The police is investigating the matter, but no arrests have been made so far.
