Afghanistan's Ministry of Interior Affairs has confirmed that at least 11 people have been killed and 14 others wounded in the suicide blast that occurred outside Kabul's Hamid Karzai International Airport on Sunday.
According to TOLO News, the explosion happened outside the airport's entrance at around 5 PM after First Vice President Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum had left in an armoured convoy.
Dostom was on his way to the first vice president's office, where he was welcomed by officials and supporters.
At least 10 ambulances arrived in the area after the blast and helped transfer the casualties to a nearby hospital.
