Kamal Hassan on late Friday night took to Twitter to clear his stand on the row on Tamil version of Bigg Boss, which is under fire of a Hindu outfit for diminishing Tamil culture.

Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK)- a nationalistic Hindu party in Tamil Nadu- earlier in the day protested in front of Hassan's residence here.

In his first tweet, Hassan said, "Apologize say women, while I love & fight 4them.I wiill bend 2 no woman or man 4 no reason. U r penalizing the lawyer & missing criminals (sic)".

In his second tweet, the actor then hinted about one woman, whom he didn't name, for perhaps launching campaign against him.

"Cant name her? Name her after my mother or my daughter. This war will be fought. Yeh hai Mahabharath katha. Jago My lady bharath. Salaam (sic)."

In his last tweet, Hassan offered to tender apology but also alleged that God is just a ruse for some.

"If you still want me to apoligize I will. No one is above law ...except your gods. God is no reason just a ruse for some (sic)."

The HMK protestors while protesting near Hassan's residence on Friday demanded 'A' (Adult) certification like films for television programmes such as Tamil version of Bigg Boss to protect the interests of the general public, children and students.

They have threatened to protest against the actor's movies he continues to host the show.

The HMK on Wednesday demanded ban on the Tamil version of reality show 'Bigg Boss' and wanted its host Ulaganayagan Haasan to be arrested for tarnishing Tamil culture.

The HMK also complained that the contestants' portrayal in the show is a statement of disrespect towards the Tamil values.

'Bigg Boss Tamil,' Season One, is a reality show based on the Hindi show 'Bigg Boss.'

The complaint, filed with the Chennai Commissioner, seeks arrest of the 'Chachi 420' actor, followed by an arrest of all the 14 participants of the show for tarnishing the reputation of the State and its culture.
