Two people were injured following firecrackers blast at a house here on Monday.
The incident occurred on late Monday after an allegedly large amount of crackers caught fire, leading to the blast.
Upon being informed about the incident, police arrived at the spot and inspected the blast site.
Speaking to reporters, Kanpur SSP Anant Dev Tiwari said, "It has been found that they dealt with Diwali crackers. Today evening around 6:30 they brought some crackers and soon after they moved it in the house, the explosion has occurred. Two people namely Sagar and Prakhar have been injured in the blast. They were both tenants in the flat and were admitted in the hospital."
"We will conduct an investigation and take necessary action against the guilty", he said.
