Kanye West apparently thinks John Legend is the next Stevie wonder.
During Legend's 36th birthday bash at Catch, the 37-year-old rapper toasted to his mate, who was also celebrating the 10th anniversary of his debut album, 'Get Lifted,' calling him a "well-mannered gentleman," adding that he wanted to take pointers from him, the New York Post reported.
Legend, who met and started working with West in 2001, thanked him saying that though people were doubtful about them, it was West who used to take him to meetings and pitch him as the next Stevie Wonder.
The guests included both the singers' respective wives Kim Kardashian and Chrissy Teigen, Robert De Niro, Katie Couric, Estelle and Michael Strahan.
The party served a three-course dinner at the Meatpacking hot spot, music by Q-Tip and a giant 3-foot-tall grand piano birthday cake.
