As 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' completed two years on Sunday, filmmaker Karan Johar and Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma got all nostalgic and opened up about how special the movie is to them.
Karan took to his official Twitter handle to express his love for the movie and the cast of the film, alongside a Dharma Productions video, which celebrates two years of 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'.
"A film that is very special to my heart!!!! Loved every moment on set ! Best team! Best actors! @AnushkaSharma #RanbirKapoor #AishwaryaRaiBachchan #2YearsOfADHM," the post read.
Anushka Sharma, who played the role of Alizeh in the film, also took to Twitter to describe her character as one of her favourites.
"Alizeh..... she's been and will be one of my most favourite characters .. A big and thank you to @karanjohar ... You have been so much fun to work with.. #AishwaryaRaiBachchan... you are all. And working with #RanbirKapoor is always a mad ride... #2YearsOfADHM," she wrote alongside a video, which is a rare mix of the scenes and behind the shots of the film.
The video also shows the quirky and fun side of Anushka's character in the film.
The flick showed the different shades of love and friendship. Anushka Sharma played the role of Alizeh, an independent woman recovering from heartbreak, while Ranbir Kapoor portrayed the character of Ayan, a naive musician, and student. The two had a chance meeting in New York and formed an incredible bond. They then experienced love, heartbreak and the real shades of life.
The tagline of the film 'Celebrating love, friendship, and heartbreak' rightly sets the tone for the film's subject.
'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' is a Bollywood rom-com written and directed by Karan Johar. Apart from Anushka Sharma, it also starred Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Fawad Khan.
KJo is currently producing 'Simmba', 'Kesari', 'Kalank', 'Student of the Year 2', 'Drive' and 'Brahmastra'.
Karan will be donning the director's hat for 'Takht' after two years. The film is a period drama and stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar. The film will hit the big screens in 2020.
While Anushka Sharma is gearing up for her next film titled 'Zero' and Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in 'Brahmastra'.
