The Congress Party, reacting to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's statement about the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits, on Thursday accused the BJP-PDP alliance of playing vote bank politics in the state.

"My concern is that the BJP-PDP alliance is only talking while no action is taking place. There are large number of internal conflicts between the BJP and the PDP. The BJP is only playing the Hindu card in the Jammu area while the PDP is taking an extremist stand in the Valley. Either way, they are both involved in actions for which Jammu and Kashmir will have to pay very dearly," Dikshit said, speaking to ANI.

He also accused the BJP-PDP government in the state of not showing any results on the ground.

"Ever since the new government has come, there are only statements being made while the BJP and PDP are blaming each other. At the grassroots level, there is no effective administration, nor is there any development of infrastructure," he said.

Earlier in the day, Mufti said he will take all the stake holders in confidence before accepting Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh's request of creating separate zones for Kashmiri Pandits in the state.

Mufti's latest statement came after he had earlier on Tuesday assured Rajnath Singh that his government has accepted the demand for creating separate zones for Kashmiri Pandits in the state.
