Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday commended the work done by the security forces in countering the terror attack on a police station in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district.
"Two militants have been gunned down by our security forces. A civilian, who was shot down by the militant, has our sympathies. We admire and commend the work done by our security forces," Rajnath said in a statement in the Lok Sabha.
The Home Minister had earlier instructed the Jammu and Kashmir Home Secretary to actively monitor the situation.
One policeman was killed while nine others, including seven CRPF personnel, were injured in an attack on the Rajbagh Police Station earlier this morning.
