Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has said that 'use of force' will be the last resort to end terrorism in the country, although the military was capable of delivering a befitting response, if required.
General Kayani said that the army fully supported the government's decision to negotiate with the militant outfits for resolving the terrorism issue, the Dawn News reports.
He further said that the nation would need to decide the parameters for resolving the issue of terrorism constitutionally as it is important to unite the nation instead of dividing it.
He said terrorism was not only against the ideology of Pakistan, but also contradictory to Islamic teachings.
