Kazakhstan to host ASTEX-2014, to bring together Silicon Valley innovators

The Information Communications Development Fund of Kazakhstan, which is chaired by Silicon Valley innovator Sanzhar Ketebekov will hold an international exhibition and conference ASTEX-2014 in the frame of the VII Astana Economic Forum.

The event will bring together eminent foreign speakers: heads of foreign companies, large investors, business coaches, professors, e-commerce businessmen and analysts.

Robert Bellac, CEO of NewEgg, the second highest ranked U.S. e-commerce firm, will speak on e-commerce trends to a Kazakhstan audience.

The event, which will be held on May 15 and 16, will see guests participate in discussions and workshops.

Mark Goodstein, executive director of IdeaLab, one of the first Internet incubators for business ideas in the United States and David Travers, a partner of investment company Rustic Canyon Ventures, will discuss issues related to innovation in e-business, and development of information technologies in B2C and B2B sectors.

The CEO of the world's largest online travel company Expedia Inc., Dara Khosrowshahi, will share his experience in creating "smart" industry.

Kazakhstan e-business will be presented by chairman of the board of directors of "SAT and Company" Kenes Rakishev, CEO of "Choco family" Ramil Mukhoryapov and others.

The event will take place in one of the most high-tech developed centers in the CIS TV and Radio Complex "KazMediaOrtalygy".

Participants will be surprised by innovative solutions in the information technologies sector: the latest technology holograms, virtual fitting rooms, 3D- printers. Registration is available online at www.astex.kz, where a personal QR- code will be issued. Participants will be able to test a mobile application for remote access to the conference. The best IT projects will be open for online voting, based on which the "ASTEX" prize will be awarded.

For the second year, the Conference and Exhibition "ASTEX" serves as an international communication platform for sharing experiences and discussing of the most relevant issues of the industry. "ASTEX" is an ideal platform for enhancing cooperation, and signing long-term agreements between countries, organizations and specialized companies.

Organizers of "ASTEX-2014" are the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan, National Information Communication Technologies Holding "Zerde" and Corporate Fund "Information Communications Technologies Development Fund".
