Kejriwal condemns attack on AAP office by right wing outfit

Reiterating his rejection for security cover, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday condemned the attack by a right wing organisation -Hindu Raksha Dal - on Aam Aadmi Party's headquarters and said no solution on Kashmir issue will be achieved by killing him or Prashant Bhushan.

Kejriwal asked, " If by hurting me or Prashant Bhushan, a solution to Kashmir problem can be achieved, then I am ready to meet them at any place any time."

"They are politicising the matter and they want this issue to be in news and be alive. I call these people for a debate," he added.

"It is my view and the party's that Kashmir is an integral part of India. No one dissociate Kashmir from India. Secondly, wherever in India, the need for army deployment should be decided through assessment of internal security. That is the job of the government. But the views of the local people should also be respected. But this issue cannot be decided through a referendum," Kejriwal said.

"Prashant (Bhushan) has already clarified that he no longer wants a referendum on Kashmir issue," he added.

Earlier today, a right-wing organisation going by the name of the Hindu Raksha Dal attacked the party's Kaushambi office.

According to reports, AAP workers managed to save themselves by locking themselves inside a room in the office.

AAP leader Dilip Pandey, who was inside the office during the attack, said that the attackers were throwing stones and carrying lathis.

"Some people with the banner 'Hindu Raksha Dal' attacked our office at around 11 a.m. Its unfortunate," he said.

"We managed to take away the volunteers. No one was injured. Only office property has been damaged," he added.

"They had lathis and threw bricks at us. Fortunately our door was closed, otherwise many would have been injured," said an AAP volunteer.
