Two days after a CPM worker was killed, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activist on Wednesday was hacked to death in broad daylight at a petrol pump near Pinarayi in Kannur district in Kerala.
The victim was attacked by a group of people came on an omni van around 11 a.m. and suffered severe injuries on his head and neck.
Earlier, in a similar manner a 52-year-old worker of ruling CPM was hacked to death in Kannur.
Meanwhile, both CPI (M) and the BJP are now blaming each other for the death of their respective party workers.
Police have deployed personnel in large numbers as the district remained tense in the wake of the political murders.
