United States Secretary of State John Kerry has urged Pakistan to crackdown on Lashkar-e-Taiba, the Haqqani network and other terror groups by saying that they do not just pose a threat to Pakistan but also India, U.S. and the world.
While addressing a joint press conference along with National Security Advisor Sartaj Aziz in Islamabad, Kerry stressed that Pakistan "must fight militant groups that threaten Afghan, Indian and U.S. interests," reported the Dawn.
He said that the December 16 attack on Peshawar's Army Public School was a reminder of the "serious risk" of allowing extremists to "find space, command that space and operate within it."
Kerry added that all nations have a responsibility to ensure that extremists are not able to secure a foothold in this country or elsewhere.
